Annapolis Family Medicine’s medical cannabis program has been serving the area for three years now. Kastle Donovan, CRNP and Amy Ricker, CRNP established this program as an alternative treatment for chronic and severe medical conditions that have not improved with the traditional medical approach, or for conditions where traditional treatments have harmful or adverse side effects.
Our goal is to give our patients access to this alternative treatment and support them along their path to achieving improved quality of life. We have close relationships with several medical directors of local dispensaries, budtenders, and educators and can help come up with a customized plan of care for you that also complies with all state and federal guidelines for medical cannabis certification.
The process is as follows: first, call the office to set up your visit with Kastle or Amy. Our friendly and discrete staff will get your information and set up your visit, and assist you with any questions you may have regarding registration. You then compile any relevant medical records for the nurse practitioners to review prior to your consultation. Payment will be collected prior to your consultation. During your consultation, the nurse practitioners will review your diagnoses to ensure you qualify for certification. If you have your state issued ID number, it will be activated at that time. If you do not, you can email the number to our office once your get it, and it will be activated upon receipt.
Please contact our office for more information, and we look forward to helping you achieve your health goals.
