Dr. Elise Bruce is a compassionate, certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) at Johns Hopkins University in 2023, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Drexel University in 2018 and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Neuroscience from the University of Delaware in 2016. Early in her career, she worked as a registered nurse and charge nurse at Duke University Hospital.
Since completing her doctorate, Dr. Elise Bruce has practiced as a primary care provider in Maryland before joining Annapolis Family Medicine. She delivers comprehensive primary care—balancing chronic disease management, preventive services, wellness checks, and acute illness treatment—through an approach grounded in evidence-based practice, active listening, and shared decision-making. Driven by her passion for preventive health care and the desire to make a tangible impact on patients’ lives, Dr. Bruce is committed to partnering with patients to support their health journey.
Elise lives in Annapolis with her husband, daughter, and dog. She enjoys walking, running, exploring new recipes, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family.
